Domain Registration Terms

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These terms supplement the Terms of Service and apply to domain name registrations, renewals, transfers and other domain services you purchase from Infinito.

1. Our Role and the Registrar

1.1. Infinito Global Investment S.A. acts as a reseller of domain registration services. Domains are registered through an ICANN-accredited registrar (or one authorized by each country-code extension’s authority), which is the domain’s “sponsoring registrar.”

1.2. You can identify your domain’s sponsoring registrar by looking up its WHOIS/RDAP information (https://lookup.icann.org) or by asking us at any time at soporte@infinito-host.com.

1.3. By registering a domain, you also agree to the sponsoring registrar’s registration agreement, the policies of the extension’s registry (for example, Verisign for .com, NIC Nicaragua for .ni, NIC México for .mx) and applicable ICANN policies. We will provide the link to the registrar’s agreement upon request or during checkout.

1.4. Important ICANN information for registrants:

  • Registrant benefits and responsibilities: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/benefits-2013-09-16-en
  • Educational information for registrants: https://www.icann.org/registrants

2. Ownership

2.1. The domain is registered in your name (or your company’s) as registrant. We do not register customer domains in our own name unless you request it in writing.

2.2. If a domain is part of an Infinito.Agency package, it is likewise registered in the customer’s name.

3. Contact Data and Verification

3.1. You must provide and maintain accurate and current contact data for the registrant and the administrative, technical and billing contacts.

3.2. After registering a domain or changing the registrant’s email, you will receive a verification email. If you do not confirm it within the stated period (typically 15 days), the registrar may suspend the domain until it is verified.

3.3. Providing false data or failing to respond to verification requests is grounds for suspension or cancellation of the domain without refund.

3.4. Some registrant data may be displayed publicly in WHOIS/RDAP depending on the extension. Where the registrar or registry offers privacy protection, it may be applied to your domain; some country-code extensions do not allow it.

4. Registration and Availability

4.1. Availability shown in search results is informational. A domain is not registered until payment is confirmed and the registry accepts the registration.

4.2. If a domain cannot be registered (because someone else registered it, a pricing error, or extension restrictions), we will refund or credit the amount paid for that domain.

4.3. Some extensions have special requirements (residency, documents, local presence). You are responsible for meeting them.

4.4. “Premium” domains are priced by the registry and may have different renewal prices, which will be shown before purchase.

5. Renewal and Expiration

5.1. Domains renew automatically at the then-current renewal price if auto-renew is enabled and there is a valid payment method or account credit. You can turn it off in the client area.

5.2. We will send renewal reminders approximately 30 days and 7 days before expiration, and a notice within 5 days after expiration if the domain was not renewed.

5.3. After expiration:

  • The domain may stop resolving (your website and email stop working) and display an expiration notice page.
  • During the renewal grace period (generally up to 30 days for generic extensions such as .com; varies by extension), you may renew it at the normal renewal price.
  • Afterwards, the domain may enter a redemption period (generally 30 days), during which it can only be recovered by paying a restoration fee set by the registry and registrar, which we will tell you before charging it, plus the renewal.
  • After that period, the domain is deleted and becomes available for anyone to register.
  • Country-code extension timelines may be shorter or may not exist.

5.4. Renewing on time is your responsibility. We are not liable for the loss of a domain that was not renewed.

6. Domain Included With a Plan

6.1. When an annual plan includes the first-year registration of a domain, the offer applies to the listed extensions and to the first year only.

6.2. Renewal is charged at the domain’s regular renewal price.

6.3. If you cancel the plan and request a refund within the 30-day guarantee, the regular registration price will be deducted, per the Refund Policy. The domain remains yours.

7. Transfers

7.1. To another provider: you may transfer your domain at any time, subject to ICANN and registry rules. You can obtain the authorization (EPP) code in the client area or by asking support. We will not hold a domain to collect invoices for other services.

7.2. Common restrictions: a domain cannot be transferred during the 60 days after its registration or a prior transfer, nor (unless waived) after certain registrant changes; nor if it is in dispute, suspended, expired in redemption, or has unverified data.

7.3. To Infinito: incoming transfers usually include one additional year of renewal and may take up to 5–7 days. You must unlock the domain and provide the correct authorization code.

8. DNS and Related Services

You may use our DNS servers or a third party’s. If you point DNS outside our platform, that configuration and its operation are your responsibility.

9. Domain Disputes

9.1. Generic domains are subject to ICANN’s Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) and, where applicable, the Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS). Country-code extensions have their own policies.

9.2. You are responsible for ensuring your domain does not infringe trademarks or third-party rights. We will comply with decisions of dispute resolution providers, courts and competent authorities.

10. Suspension and Abusive Use

The registrar, the registry or we may suspend, lock or cancel a domain used for activities prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy (for example, phishing, malware or spam), or when required by an authority or an ICANN policy.

11. Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and per Section 14 of the Terms of Service, we are not liable for acts of the registrar, the registry or ICANN, or for the unavailability of a desired domain.

In the event of conflict between language versions, the Spanish version prevails.
